Diana started her weaving career making potholders with loopers and a weaving frame when she was a child in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Later as a young adult she graduated to darning socks and clothing patching as an art form with patterns woven into the darns. She then wondered what else could be woven without a floor loom.
After a needle weaving class at the Schitz Audobon Center in Milwaukee she searched for more ways to learn weaving. While on vacation in Gatlinburg she had the opportunity to visit Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts (a dream from High School) and after moving here was able to take some classes there, at area workshops and from private teachers.
Diana now weaves tapestries, treasure bags, inkle loom bands and bookmarks and - yes, potholders from loopers!
