Weaver: Sherry Mummert

Sherry started weaving as a child with the small looper potholder loom. After trying various crafts, she returned to her first love, weaving.

A little over 20 years ago, she bought her first floor loom and a correspondence course in Weaving. With the book in one hand and a tangle of cotton strings in the other, she learned how to dress the loom and weave. The first project in the course was bookmarks. She still loves to put 3-5 yards of bookmarks on the loom when trying a new fiber or pattern.

Sherry's stable of equipment has grown to include a 60” blanket loom, 2 26” portable looms for teaching and demonstrating and the original 36” rug loom.
